Confusion
Everyone just loves some confusion. Well, okay, not everyone, but some people? No? Fine. I'll try to explain the chaos of just how these characters fit together. But be warned: you may end up more confused than when you started. Especially if you know nothing of any of these characters.
Rhia is our main character of focus in the more important books. She has existed ever since I started roleplaying when I was ten. Granted, she didn't quite exist as she does today, but some things have always been. She has always been half Wood elf, half Drow. Now, any of you who know anything about the quarrels of elven kind would be asking how the hell did that happen? (For those of you ignorant of the fact, the Wood elves and the Drow are mortal enemies.) To know the answer to that question, we have to look at Rhia's parents. Rhia's father, Lemain, was a Drow King (there's a long story behind this, too, which I shall go into some other time), and her mother, Restume, a Wood elf Queen. Now, this wasn't any ordinary Romeo and Juliet story, but this isn't the place to go into that. At least not yet.
On to other characters. Jason is Rhia's elder cousin and took care of her when Lemain could not. Tereka is the daughter of Lemain's wife's younger sister (therefore pure Kolareny blood, unlike Rhia).
Rhia's Aunt is the elder sister of Lemain's wife, and very much despises Lemain and Rhia (one of those in the colony who can't stand the thought of being ruled by a King rather than a Queen, as is Drow custom).
Tobias is the wood elf that takes Rhia in after she's been expelled from the colony.
Lain is an otherworldly witch that Rhia comes across while fleeing from the Wood elf Kingdom who begins the split between Rhia's Wood elf and Drow blood that brings about the creation of Kalvin, the embodiment of Rhia's Drow blood and the reason her skin turns from black to peach.
Jeremiah is first known simply as Angel, when Rhia first stumbles across him, then as his care for her grows, she begins to call him Guardian. When they see Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet (the actual performance at Globe Theatre), she takes up playfully calling him Romeo, and it sticks as such for the rest of the time she knows him.
Greyn is the first talking wolf that Rhia comes across as a child, and it's from him that she learns how to communicate with nature and becomes in tune with her Wood elf side. After this, once older, she comes across two wolves, Sam and Kitsune, with whom she travels for a while.
Eryx is a High elf boy whom Rhia finds beaten on the side of the road. It's he who teaches Rhia what it is to feel something other than hate, in a way that Tobias never could manage.
Famij is the first human with whom Rhia found kindness and showed kindness to.
Arcane and White are the embodiments of Rhia's arcane (Drow) and white (Wood elf) magick. (Simple names. She had a thing for simple names.)
Seth is Rhia's son, and the incarnation of Arcane, or Rhia's arcane magick (therefore making him half magick, quarter Drow and quarter Wood elf). Zelda is the same for White.
There are five Wongs. The first bought Rhia from the slave market and brought her to his syndicate, ending up making her his high-guard and advisor, as well as the caretaker of his child once his wife died. That child became the second Wong. She became the same to him as she was for his father, and the same for the third Wong. A pattern arose in which the first wives (there never was a second for any of them) of each Wong contracted tuberculosis soon after giving birth to the first son (always a son; a daughter was never produced). By the fourth Wong, he chose not to take a wife, as when he was sixteen he was diagnosed as well. It was with Rhia that the fifth Wong arose. And from this fifth Wong came another character that will be mentioned later.
The Old Man is a weaponsmaster from whom Rhia learned much of her skills in crafting eastern-styled weapons.
Victor is a fire elemental with whom, along with four others, Rhia allied with and became an elemental mercenary group. He also plays an important part in the conception of Haru, explained next.
Rhayvin is a shadow elemental and friend of Jeremiah, and upon J's request, became Rhia's second guardian and eventually her husband. It's with Rhayvin that Haru is born of Rhia. Ivory is Rhayvin's sister, and Jeremiah's eventual wife, with whom Julian is born.
Rebecca is the eventual wife of Seth and born of them is Cecelia. Cecelia stumbles upon the world's last remaining Dragon (who's name cannot presently be remembered) and after a passionate affair, Liam is created. His story shall remain in secret until his book is published.
Naomi, or Nanashii as she is known for most of the time, is the personality of the mecha suit which Rebecca commands while a part of Japan's Self Defence Army. She helped General Awada take care of Becca until Seth came into the picture. Awada later starts up the Academy that allows Zelda the chance to begin the end of the world.
Michael is another student of the Academy, and Zelda's male counterpart in the field of Negotiating.
Eiji is a friend of Rhayvin and a leader in the Yakuza, later responsible for uniting all Yakuza groups into one giant syndicate, as well as a treaty with the Triad across the sea in China.
Ming is a battered daughter of a Triad leader, liberated by Seth and eventually made wife of Eiji.
Li is a young orphen who becomes friend and eventually wife of Zelda, adopted by Eiji as heir to the whole of the Yakuza.
Kiro is the ninja bodyguard and close friend of Li.
Fei is the leader of a gang in Hong Kong, and becomes Li's right hand man in the control and upkeap of the Hong Kong underground.
Stacy is an orphen from the United States whom Seth is given the resopnsibility to keep safe.
Wei is the last survivor of the martial arts order in China which Rhayvin started, and becomes Rhayvin's pupil and boyfriend of Stacy.
There are many characters which I have not yet created that belong above, and many that should be here, as there is a giant gap in parts of this storyline which I have yet to fully explore. Someday, hopefully, they'll be filled in.
Saleem is one of the remaining humans of the post-apocolyptic world, and the love and passion of Seth.
And, well, that's about it for now. Quite the post, eh? I think that should last the weekend, if I can keep away that long that is. Ah well. Have fun trying to figure out the storyline.
