Poetry time.

Lucifer,
Loose thy grip
From mine eyes, for
I will gaze upon
Thee no longer.
Thou shalt not tempt
Me further. Be gone,
Lest you repent and
Come with me, to once
More live in service
Of thy God. Do not
Deny that the Almighty
Will forgive even the
Terrible deeds thou
Hath committed.
Repent, sweet Lucifer.
Repent, and follow me.
Place thy hand in mine,
And once again be
Happy. Accept the
Love my heart aches
To give thee.
Repent, and be free.
Pain and confusion crowd my soul
and still the world turns.
Bright eyes fade to two lumps of coal
and still the world turns.
The fire in my heart fades and dies
and still the world turns.
Gaze hardened to infinite lies
and still the world turns.
Body shaken, my nerves are shot
and still the world turns.
They laugh at me, they think I'm caught
and still the world turns.
The world will turn without consent
turning, turning, turning.
Even through all of my torment
burning, burning, burning.
And still I cry out for you.
I'll show them what my faith can do
wait now the world slows.
The darkness cracks, I will get through
and still the world slows.
Hope is replenished, eyes grow bright
and still the world slows.
Here is a spark; with fire comes light
and still the world slows.
Hold, don't stop! you must keep turning
and still the world slows.
Dim again, my life is burning
and still the world slows.
The world will slow without consent
slowing, slowing, slowing.
Even through all of my torment
flowing, flowing, flowing.
And still I cry out for you.
Everything's still, my life has gone
and now the world stops.
The world will stop without consent
And still I cry out for you.
